Baron Paul von Mohrenheim, director of Grand Duke Constantine's diplomatic chancellery at Warsaw → Julius Schmidt, Prussian consul general at Warsaw

An undated note from Mohrenheim to Schmidt, written on a Tuesday. He returns Schmidt's “Dubois”, which he says he read with great interest, and asks pressingly for the continuation. He will push the Weigel matter; Schmidt should be easy about the rest, they will come out of it with honour. He has dreadful weather where he is, which at times dampens his pleasure in the country. In a line written sideways in the margin he asks Schmidt to let him have something for two days; what it is has not been read.

One line per manuscript line, with broken words hyphenated and stray break marks removed. Editorial decisions are set out in About the edition.
Transcribed by paragraph, not line by line: each numbered entry is a paragraph of the manuscript.
